Habitat restoration is critical for wildlife
survival in urban and suburban settings
where development has eliminated most
natural areas.

Trained Habitat Stewards are available
to help community members and
organizations create NWF Certified
Wildlife Habitat, beneficial for humans
and wildlife, on their properties.

The 4 elements of habitat (food, water,
shelter & places to raise young) can be
created and sustained in backyards,
schoolyards, workplaces, common
spaces, public places or communities.

Monthly meetings and activities provide
members with education and resources for
the support of environmentally sound
landscaping practices to preserve
biodiversity through the preservation,
restoration and establishment of native
plant communities.

Native plants support 10 to 50 times as
many species of wildlife as non-native
plants.

The Habitat Resource Network 2006 Wild
Ones Chapter Meetings provide a series of
lectures to further develop our
understanding of ecosystems. Guests are
welcome!
